Mean Girls Cast Reunites To Encourage People To Vote

Hot New Hip Hop reported today that the cast members of 2004’s cult comedy, Mean Girls, are coming back together again in an attempt to increase voter registration for this year’s election. Amanda Seyfriend, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert, and Tim Meadows, reunited for a virtual reunion.

According to the outlet, the cast members spoke on some behind-the-scene events that a lot of people probably weren’t aware of. For instance, amid the reunion, Lohan explained that she actually wanted the role of Regina George, which was given to Rachel McAdams instead.

Lindsay explained that at the time, she had only done one movie, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and in that film, she played more of a “weirdo.” Lohan says she wanted to portray a character where she got to be pretty and “dress pretty.”

According to Lindsay, however, the more she read the script and got to know the character, the more she related to it. Lindsay claimed she once went back to “regular school” after some time off and it was a weird time for her. Lohan felt like an outcast so she so she totally understood the character.

As most know, Mean Girls is easily one of the most popular high school movies ever released, and it was responsible for making Lindsay Lohan a star. Since then, the movie has become a cult classic and to this day, people have been calling for a sequel.

Earlier in the year, the star did an interview with Daily Mail TV in which she explained how she wanted to do a sequel. The Mean Girls alum shared how she was 100% sure she’d be able to get the cast together again for a sequel.

When asked by the Daily Mail if she was interested in starring in another Mean Girls movie, Lohan said “of course, I would say yes.” The star went on to say that it would be a dream come true to do another movie because she loved doing the first one so much.
