New Delhi: The distressing signs from Denmark-Finland clash at Copenhagen were enough to send soccer fans in a tizzy. In the second half of match, Denmark’s midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field.
However, there is a reason to cheer and celebrate. Christian Eriksen got initial medical treatment on field and is said to be stable in hospital.
In fact, reports suggest that he revived his senses after first-aid medical treatment. In the field, medical staff were seen trying to resuscitate Eriksen with CPR and a defibrillator while his Danish teammates formed a wall around him.
Following the medical emergency involving Denmark’s player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET.
The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised.
