The Chase’s celebrity special saw Anita Rani, Mark Pougatch and Dane Baptiste beat Anne Hegerty to secure a £120,000 win for charity.
The team – consisting of Dane Baptiste, Anita Rani and Mark Pougatch – had one of the biggest ever wins of the celebrity series on Saturday’s show.
They had also been joined by Nigel Owens but he had been caught by Chaser Anne Hegerty before the final chase.
Dane had brought £8,000 to the pot after turning down the higher offer, telling Bradley Walsh: ‘As seductive as the governess is…’
Bradley retorted: ‘What?!’ to which Dane clarified: ‘You’ve seen the sequins Bradley, I’m not a robot…’
Anita topped up the total on her turn by bringing back another £7,000 but Mark was the star player as he brought a whopping £105,000 total to the final chase.
The Governess gave it her all but the team managed to score a few pushbacks against her which meant she could not beat them in the end.
The group were overwhelmed with joy to secure the enormous amount for charity, hugging it out when they won £120,000.
Viewers had been concerned that the team might have broken social distancing by embracing, however the Close Contact Cohort protocols in place meant they were allowed to physically interact.
A rep confirmed that Bradley and the celebrities were all required to take a coronavirus test before the show as well as adhere to social distancing measures off-screen including temperature checks, two-metre distancing, mandatory face coverings and more.
A spokesperson said: ‘Series 11 of The Chase Celebrity Special was filmed using approved Close Contact Cohort protocols.
‘As such, host Bradley Walsh and the celebrity contestants were able to physically interact for short intervals. The safety of our cast and crew is of the utmost importance.’
The Chase Celebrity Special returns on Saturday from 8pm on ITV.
