Piers Morgan is currently enjoying a long holiday in the South of France and it seems like he’s bumped into a familiar face while overseas.

The Good Morning Britain host, 55, had an impromptu reunion with his Britain’s Got Talent co-star Amanda Holden and documented their lavish lunch with friends and families on Instagram for fans to see.

The pair kicked of BGT all those years ago in 2007, when they sat on the judging panel with Simon Cowell for the first four series of the show.

And proving that they’re still as good friends over a decade later, the two stars looked like they were having a ball as they dined out together in St Tropez.

Piers shared a picture of himself and Amanda sitting side by side for their al fresco meal and captioned it: ‘Britain’s got talent.’

Amanda, meanwhile, got a little bit more playful as she joked over a snap she posted of Piers taking her photograph of her and the kids at the table.

She wrote: ‘thrilled to be known & asked for a photo from these lovely children from the #netherlands and the #photographer @piersmorgan ( no clue who he is @bgt 🤣🇫🇷).’

Piers is currently on holiday with his wife Celia Walden and their daughter Elise, eight. His sons Spencer, 27, and Stanley, 23, were also seen sat around the table too.

They were joined by Amanda, her husband Chris Hughes and their two daughters Lexi, 14, and Hollie, eight.

Despite Piers leaving Britain’s Got Talent back in 2010, Amanda, like Simon, has stayed on the judging panel since the show first aired, with this year marking her 14th series.

Since the sixth series, that aired back in 2012, she and Simon have been joined by fellow judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic bringing the TV and film industry to a standstill, Britain’s Got Talent did return to screens in 2020, as the audition rounds were filmed before lockdown restrictions were put in place.

The show’s live finals are still up in the air, however, with reports revealing the show’s semi-finals, which are usually filmed live, will now be pre-recorded episodes.

Piers, meanwhile, has been keeping the nation updated with all the latest coronavirus related news for the last four months on Good Morning Britain.

He is now taking a break for the summer and was seen bidding an emotional goodbye to the crew behind the ITV breakfast show, thanking them for their hard work during such a strange time.

‘I do want to say to the backroom team here I think that… We sit here and we have done for months going through this extraordinary story, it has been the biggest story of any of our lifetimes with many repercussions,’ during his last broadcast for the summer.

But, behind the scenes of Good Morning Britain, there is this enormous team of people all of who have been working unbelievable hours, a lot of self-sacrifices, not seeing families and so on.’

Piers said: ‘We have got it right so far, we have a good balance and we’re giving people a lot of good guidance. I have never been prouder to work on Good Morning Britain.’
