Normal People’s Paul Mescal has reportedly signed up to exclusive dating app Raya.

The Irish actor shot to fame this year by starring as conflicted softboi Connell in the acclaimed TV-adaption of Sally Rooney’s novel of the same name.

But as his fame as risen, so has his public visibility -which isn’t really great if you’re using dating apps, right?

So, according to The Sun, Paul has signed up for Raya – the exclusive, invite-only dating app that is kind of like Tinder for celebrities.

So, normies like us haven’t got a chance, sorry to say.

A source told the publication: ‘He knows he would be recognised instantly on regular dating apps so has turned to Raya because it’s more exclusive and discreet.

‘He had to be invited onto it by one of his new celebrity pals and then apply before he was allowed to set up an account. But there are lots of beautiful people on there for him.’

Paul was also recently spotted at a cafe in Cork in his native Ireland, accompanied by indie singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers for a spot of brunch.

We wonder if Raya ever came up in conversation?

Well, as long as there are some…Normal People (sorry) for him to find, that’s just fine by us.

Speaking of Normal People, Paul blessed us all earlier this month by channelling his inner-Connell to lead a read-a-long of Sally Rooney’s source novel for charity.

Between this and all the shots of him prancing around London in short shorts and smoking, its been a great summer indeed.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Paul Mescal for comment.

Normal People is available to stream now via BBC iPlayer.
