A new Madeleine McCann documentary has aired on ITV putting the German suspect Christian Brueckner underneath the microscope.

The known paedophile has been accused of murdering the missing three-year-old, despite his lawyers stating that their client ‘denies any involvement’ in the case.

The 43-year-old is currently behind bars for child abuse charges and drug trafficking. He has also been charged with rape.

And now, in tonight’s documentary, a heartbroken mum has claimed that the suspect exposed himself to her eight-year-old daughter, in San Bartolomeu de Messines, 40 miles from Praia da Luz, Portugal, where Madeleine disappeared.

Heading back to the playground where the alleged incident took place, Nelia Bras confessed: ‘It’s my first time here in three years.’

She went on to recall the traumatic experience, adding: ‘I woke up it was just a normal day, this area had tables set up, people were drinking dancing, singing. My daughter was over there playing with other kids.

‘They came running over to us and said, “there’s a man there showing us his willy.”

‘He asked her in English, “what’s your name?” My daughter felt very frightened.’

Pointing at the slide where the mum claims the incident took place, she pressed: ‘We ran over towards the playground, his trousers were open slightly.’

Shrugging her shoulders as if she were adjusting herself, Nelia explained: ‘I saw him do this, trying to sort himself out.

‘Just the fact that he was over there with his clothes off and masturbating under there while there were mainly little girls playing. That’s not normal behaviour.’

She went onto say how he apologised and claimed to have ‘only wanted a pee’ however, when authorities arrived it’s said he was identified as Christain Brueckner.

Journalist Julie Etchingham, who was narrating the show, said in a voice over: ‘When they discovered he was wanted for sex crimes in Germany the Portuguese authorities deported him back to his home country.’

Nelia started to tear up as she closed the segment by saying: ‘I was there with my daughter and he spoke to her he could have taken my daughter away.’

Madeleine went missing in 2007, and while Christian Brueckner, authorities are still searching for the missing child.
