Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) is horrified to discover that Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw) has been forced to self-isolate in a hotel in Coronation Street after a colleague displays coronavirus symptoms.
Ed has been worried about the amount of hours Aggie has been working as of late, but there’s more heartache ahead for the pair in the coming episodes.
Aggie is forced to get the bus to work as their car won’t start, and Ed later relays this information to Abi (Sally Carman).
Abi informs Ed that Aggie is welcome to use Kevin’s (Michael Le Vell) car until their’s is fixed, as the cobbles residents are incredibly grateful to her for putting herself on the front line at the hospital — something which leaves Ed touched.
Later in the week, the Bailey’s 30th wedding anniversary arrives, and Ed is disappointed to discover that Aggie can’t stay for a celebratory breakfast, as she has to run out to work early.

Therefore, he suggests a surprise online party, but Michael warns him that might not be the best idea. The patriarch refuses to listen, and thus he makes preparations for such a party.
However, Aggie later phones Ed and reveals that she has to isolate in a hotel for a while, as a colleague has displayed Covid-19 symptoms.
Naturally, Ed is gutted at such a revelation, but later in the week, he dresses in his best clothes and sits down to a virtual anniversary dinner with Aggie via video call, and — touched by the lengths he’s gone to — Aggie toasts to the next thirty years.
