John Fashanu has said that he wants to revive Gladiators with Ulrika Jonsson.
The former footballer fronted the popular reality show during its 90s peak – and he think the show deserves a comeback.
Originally, Gladiators ran from 1992-2000, with a massive 14 million tuning in each week in its heyday. The show was rebooted in 2008, but lasted just two years on the air.
Now, speaking to The Sun, the former footballer is ready to get back on that inflatable stage.
‘The health and well-being market is played out all over Instagram, with fit men and women pushing us to believe in ourselves and be kind to our minds and bodies.
‘So there is the next generation of Gladiators right there ready to inspire us — and a new audience ready to absorb it.
Fash continued: ‘I think it would be a hit — TV bosses are missing a trick.’
Well, we say – why not?!
Although personally we won’t be applying for this revival – we’ve already put on far too much quarantine weight.
After her stint on Gladiators, Ulrika went on to star in numerous reality TV productions as a contestant; from Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Masterchef.
She was last seen on-screens in First Dates Hotel, where she opened up about how ‘lonely’ she had felt in her last marriage.
