LeAnn Rimes On How She Makes Her Blended Family Work: ‘It Is Easier Said Than Done’

LeAnn Rimes is dishing on what makes her “modern family” work with husband Eddie Cibrian and his ex-wife Brandi Glanville as well as the latter two’s children, Mason, 16, and Jake, 12.

At the MusiCares event on Friday, the singer told “PeopleTV” that it wasn’t until she exercised self-care that she was “able to feel confident and secure in my own self and then everything around me changed.”

“You have to consider everyone’s feelings and you have to allow people to have them and you can’t take them personally,” she said before noting it is “easier said than done, but at least we shoot for that.”

And while most people think that blended families can get a bit messy or crazy, Rimes’ insists that everything is “good.”

“Nobody’s fighting, nobody’s doing anything weird… it’s interesting, the kids are older now, it’s fun,” she said. “The kids are happy and that’s all that matters.”
