Kobe Bryant’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Gianna Dies In The Same Helicopter Crash That Killed Her Father

After the tragic news that Kobe Bryant has passed away in a helicopter crash, it is also being reported that his 13 year old daughter, Gianna, has also lost her life along with him! As you may have heard, the helicopter crashed earlier today, January 26, in Calabasas.

ESPN and TMZ are reporting that one of the five people on board that passed away in the terrible accident was 13 year old Gianna, Kobe’s second born daughter.

This comes after the saddening news that the sports legend has left the Earth at the age of just 41.

Kobe and Gianna Bryant are survived by wife and mother Vanessa and daughters/sisters, Natalia, 17, 3 year old Bianka and 7 months old Capri.

TMZ reports that ‘Kobe Bryant was on his way to a travel basketball game with his daughter Gianna when the helicopter crashed. Those aboard the helicopter also included another player and parent.’

Apparently, the news outlet has spoken with Kobe’s reps and they have confirmed the tragic news that there are no survivors.

The development that Kobe’s teen daughter has also lost her life in the crash only adds to the heartbreak.

The basketball player was a wonderful and loving dad and his social media being filled with posts of his four daughters is proof enough of that.

In fact, only a week before the tragedy, the dotting father took to his platform to celebrate his oldest, Natalia’s birthday.

Alongside a sweet picture of the 17 year old, Kobe wrote: ‘Happy Birthday my baby. I love you beyond measure. You’ll always be my little Principessa #17.’

Back in September, while promoting his kids’ book, Legacy and The Queen on Good Morning America, Kobe gushed over his beloved daughters, saying: ‘I have four girls at home and wanted to make sure that’s important that they see characters that look like them that are also athletes. They get tired of hearing my voice of be persistent, work hard, believe in yourself.’

Rest in peace, Kobe and Gianna.
