A homeless man who was found dead of stab wounds on a sidewalk in El Monte took his own life, the coroner’s office announced Tuesday.
Officers sent to the 4400 block of Baldwin Avenue about 7:15 a.m. Jan. 15 found the man with multiple wounds to his upper body, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which assisted El Monte police in the investigation.
Authorities determined that the 59-year-old man killed himself, the coroner’s office reported.
