‘Bad Boys For Life’ Maintains Lead at Box Office

The Will Smith-Martin Lawrence action-comedy “Bad Boys for Life” again led the way at North American theaters over the weekend, out-pacing Oscar hopeful “1917,” according to final figures released Monday.

“Bad Boys for Life” earned $34 million between Friday and Sunday to maintain the top spot at the box office, according to Comscore. The film has earned $120.7 million in its two weeks of release.

Director Sam Mendes’ “1917,” the front-runner for a best-picture Oscar, finished in second place with $15.9 million, pushing its five-week total to $104 million.

Robert Downey Jr.’s “Doolittle” collected $12.2 million over the weekend to place third, followed by the debut of “The Gentlemen” with $10.6 million.

The comedy sequel “Jumanji: The Next Level” earned $7.7 million, padding its seven-week total to $283.2 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were “The Turning” ($6.9 million); “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” ($5.6 million); “Little Women” ($4.6 million); “Just Mercy” ($4 million); and “Knives Out” ($3.5 million).
